What is an MMO(RPG)?
An MMORPG is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game, more commonly called an MMO. In MMOs (including
Dark Age of Camelot and
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning), tens of thousands of people can adventure together or separately in worlds that are created by a game company. The most successful MMORPGs to date have several hundred thousand monthly subscribers. These types of games are created by teams that can range in size from forty developers to several thousand developers, and can cost over ten million dollars to produce a AAA title. Some games currently in development are rumored to cost many times that.

What makes an MMO different from a single-player game?
Besides the fact that tens of thousands of people can play this type of game at the same time and interact with each other, the biggest difference is that MMORPGs can be constantly updated with new content and challenges for the player. In the case of
Dark Age of Camelot and
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, Mythic creates new content and improvements for the game on a regular basis. Throw in five retail expansions, and you have a game that since it was released in 2001, has increased dramatically in size, scope, and features. This type of dedication to new content is what sets online games apart from single-player games.

What is Realm vs. Realm™?
Realm vs. Realm, or RvR, is a term trademarked by Mythic Entertainment during the development of
Dark Age of Camelot. RvR is team-based Player vs. Player (PVP) game-play where each Realm works together toward a common goal. Players choose a side by selecting a race and, in the case of
Warhammer Online, they battle it out in areas and work toward goals provided by the game, including Scenarios, Keep Sieges, and City Sieges. It means that a player never has to fight alone because there is always an army of allies that has his or her back. Players can choose to level-up in RvR areas, or stay in safer, Player vs. Environment (PvE) areas until they are ready to jump into the real battles of
WAR.

Laptop versions of these chipsets may work, but may run the game comparatively slowly. Standalone cards that are installed in vanilla PCI slots (not PCIe or PCIx or AGP), such as some GeForce FX variants, will perform poorly. Integrated chipsets, such as the ATI Xpress and the NVIDIA TurboCache variants, will have low settings selected but should run satisfactorily.
Recommended audio hardware is the Sound Blaster® X-Fi™ series sound card. (Note: Hardware requires Creative ALchemy for Windows Vista.)
Please note that attempting to play the game using video hardware that isn't listed above may result in reduced performance or graphical issues, or cause the game to not run at all.
The NVIDIA GeForce FX series is unsupported under Vista.
